Orochem Silica ships Orosil chromatography-grade silica gel from our United States manufacturing facility. This page explains how orders placed on orochemsilica.com are packed, rated and dispatched.
Where we ship
We currently ship to destinations within the United States. If you need material delivered outside the US, email sayyed@orochem.com and we will quote export freight and prepare the documentation required for your destination.
Processing time
In-stock orders are normally picked, packed and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days. Orders placed on weekends or US public holidays begin processing on the next business day. Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available for the lot you receive - request them with your order or at any time afterwards.
Shipping rates
Rates are calculated from package weight and are shown in full before you pay. Our current domestic rate ladder is:

For reference, a 1 kg pack weighs about 2.2 lb, a 5 kg pack about 11 lb and a 25 kg pack about 55 lb. Express service is offered on parcel-eligible shipments up to 70 lb; heavier orders travel by ground parcel or LTL freight.
Bulk and freight orders
We hold large production volumes of Orosil silica. If your requirement runs to pallets, totes or repeat contract volumes, email sayyed@orochem.com for a freight-rated quotation instead of checking out online - dedicated LTL or truckload freight is normally far cheaper per kilogram than the web rates above.
Packaging
Silica gel is supplied in sealed, labeled containers sized to the quantity ordered: 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 25 kg. Every container carries the product name, grade, lot number and the applicable handling information.
Taxes on shipping
Where we are registered to collect sales tax, tax is applied to both merchandise and shipping charges according to the rules of the destination state. The exact amount is calculated and displayed at checkout.
Tracking
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order is tendered to the carrier. Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.
Delivery problems
Please inspect your shipment on arrival. Report damage, leaking containers or missing packages within 5 business days of delivery, with photographs, to sayyed@orochem.com. Our Return and Refund Policy sets out the full claims process.
