Return & Refund Policy

Orochem Silica manufactures and supplies Orosil chromatography-grade silica gel. Because our products are laboratory chemicals whose purity and integrity can be affected once a container is opened or has left our control, the following terms apply to every order placed on orochemsilica.com.

Return window

You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date. Requests made after 30 days cannot be accepted.

Condition requirements

  • Containers must be unopened, with all factory seals, labels and lot markings intact.
  • Material must have been stored in line with the storage guidance on the label and the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
  • Opened, partially used, re-packaged or re-labeled material cannot be returned or resold and is not eligible for refund.

How to start a return

Email sayyed@orochem.com with your order number, the SKU and lot number printed on the container, the quantity, and the reason for the return. We will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number together with return instructions. Shipments received without an RMA number will be refused.

Return shipping and fees

If the return results from our error - wrong item shipped, incorrect quantity, a documented Certificate of Analysis (CoA) deviation, or damage in transit - we pay return freight and no restocking fee applies. For all other returns, including change of mind or over-ordering, the customer pays return freight and a 20% restocking fee applies. Original outbound shipping charges are not refundable.

Damaged or short shipments

Please inspect every shipment on arrival. Report visible damage, leaking containers or missing packages within 5 business days of delivery and include photographs of the outer carton, the pallet or drum, and the shipping label. Claims filed after 5 business days may be limited by the carrier's own claim deadlines.

Refunds

Once a return is received and inspected we will email you the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of inspection. Your bank or card issuer may need additional time before the credit appears on your statement.

Items that cannot be returned

  • Opened or partially consumed containers.
  • Custom particle sizes, custom pore sizes, custom packaging, or material produced to a customer-specific specification.
  • Bulk or freight quantities supplied against a written quotation, unless that quotation states otherwise.

Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled at no charge at any time before the shipment is tendered to the carrier. Once a tracking number has been generated the order is treated as shipped and the return terms above apply.
